Hilarious "Attack On Titan" iPhone Audio Jack Cover Idea Garners Lots Of Attention

An idea from a fan caught the attention of the official Attack on Titan Twitter account

The colossal titan from Attack On Titan should just change his occupation from the worst devastator of humankind to the Midas Titan because everything he touches turns into gold (in a comic sense). To prove that, a fan recently tweeted an idea for an audio jack cover using the colossal titan to the Twitter account of the person in charge of Attack On Titan at Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, the manga magazine that runs the series. See the amazing design after the jump!

Activision teasing next Call of Duty?

Main Call of Duty portal update with cryptic fan mosaic potentially related to next entry in military shooter series.

The official Call of Duty website main landing page has been taken over by a cryptic fan mosaic, potentially teasing the next entry in Activision’s popular first-person shooter series.

Gamers can add their Twitter or Facebook profile picture and a message to the mosaic, in an effort to presumably reveal the next Call of Duty game. At press time, the mosaic is fairly sparse, though it appears to depict a face of some sort.

Activision is rumored to officially announce 2013′s Call of Duty game on Wednesday, May 1. Retailers Tesco and Target have revealed this game to be an Infinity Ward-produced Call of Duty: Ghosts running on a next-generation engine, but Activision has not commented on this.

The fan mosaic on the Call of Duty website does not appear to be an accident, as Activision community manager Dan Amrich is promoting the teaser through his website.

“Something’s up at callofduty.com,” he wrote. “You might wanna check it out.”

Fans offer free Mother 3 translation to Nintendo

A team of fans has offered a translated version of Mother 3 to Nintendo, free of charge.

Role-playing game Mother 3 has never been released outside of Japan, but that has not stopped dedicated fans from translating it in its entirety. The team of fans, which also includes a professional translator, has offered up its localisation of the game to Nintendo free of charge in a post on its development blog.

Written under the handle “Mato”, the blog post said, “I realize that localizing a game this size can cost a lot, so if it’ll help in even the slightest, I’ll gladly offer to let Nintendo use my text translation files for any use at all, completely for free.”

The post also mentioned previous fan translations used by the game publishers, citing Ys: The Oath in Felghana as an instance where a fan translation was used in the creation of the localised version.

Mother 3 is the third game in the Earthbound series. The first and second games in the franchise were released outside of Japan as Mother and EarthBound, respectively. The third game was announced in 2006 for the Game Boy Advance console, although plans for localization in the West were never announced.

[UPDATED] Concept Work for 'Assassin's Creed Duel' Released – News

Update: Benoit Perreault has confirmed that this is actually just fan art and was not a game project.

User Interface Designer/Artist Benoit Perreault has released concept work for a 2.5D fighting game based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Benoit worked at Ubisoft for 8 years and has posted the assets as part of his portfolio online.

Given that the game was never even announced it seems like the project was either cancelled in the early stages of development or it never even got off the ground, which will probably come as a relief to those of us who feel the franchise is being milked to death, but it does give us an interesting glimpse of what could have been.
