New Pac-Man game launching this fall

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures based on Disney XD show coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U; side-scrolling version headed to 3DS.

Pac-Man is coming back. Namco Bandai announced Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures
today, a new game based on the upcoming Disney XD show of the same name.

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will launch for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U this fall. A separate side-scrolling version will be available for 3DS.

According to Namco Bandai, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures the game will focus on the Pac-World, a place of peace until the Netherworld ghosts arrived. Gamers are cast as the iconic yellow chomper and must defeat the ghosts and their evil Betrayus leader.

The game’s announcement trailer indicates Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will feature Mario-like platforming sequences, as well as the series-familiar ghost-chomping.

The animated Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures TV show is scheduled to premiere in 2013. It was created by Marvel Studios executive and Iron Man producer Avi Arad.

VIDEO: "Dark Souls II" Director Previews the Punishment

Project X Zone crossing over North America this June

Upcoming JRPG to feature over 50 playable characters from Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega.

Namco Bandai has announced on its website that the upcoming 3DS crossover-filled RPG, Project X Zone, will be out in North America and Europe soon.

The game will arrive on game shelves on June 25 in North America. The European release date for the game has yet to be confirmed, though the website stated that it will be out in summer.

Project X Zone’s plot revolves around a treasure called the “portalstone” where interdimensional travelling between different universes is possible. Players are able to form their own party in combat using over 50 playable characters from various Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega franchises. Examples include Street Fighter’s Ryu and Ken, Tekken’s Heihachi Mishima and Jin Kazama, and Virtua Fighter’s Akira and Pai.

Project X Zone Release Date: June 25th in NA, Summer 2013 in Europe – News

Project X Zone fans assemble: A release date is here! The Namco Bandai/Sega/Capcom strategy RPG developed by Monolith Soft (say that five times fast!) will be launching in North America on June 25th, according to Namco Bandai’s website. Europe doesn’t have a firm date yet, but the game is currently listed in the Summer 2013 window.

One of you has dreamt this exact scene before.

Project X Zone is a strategy RPG that combines over 50 characters from the catalogs of Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega. When combat begins, the game switches to a Cross Active Battle System, allowing for multiple attacks and combos using a combination of the Circle Pad and face buttons. It also allows scenes like the one above, which, if you’re a fan of any (or all) of these companies, you may have just wet yourself. Be prepared for Project X Zone‘s release this summer.

VIDEO: "Star Trek" Game Ad Gives a Shout Out to Original TV Series

Game release precedes the new movie on April 23
